About IRBDN

IRBDN is an earn while you learn on-line continuing education and career development environment for professionals. It's called Collaborative Business Development and Interactive Learning:

  • Collaborative Business Development: This is the earn part. As an IRBDN member, you set-up as an independent contractor/consultant within the system where you interact and collaborate on business development projects part time over the internet with other IRBDN members. You can earn a significant part time income linked to the value of your professional contribution to project activity;

  • Interactive Learning: This is the on-line continuing education and the career development part:

    • On-line Continuing Education: The best way to learn is by doing. By participating in collaborative business development activities, you are interacting, collaborating and learning from your project participation. You will naturally nurture and grow new project centric and interpersonal skill sets, especially if you are use to working within the traditional 8 to 5 work environment. These new skill sets will become increasingly useful as the mainstream workplace slowly evolve away from a wage/salary based infrastructure to a more project centric or independent contractor model;

    • Career Development: By participating in collaborative business development activities, you grow and expand your career options via networking and building professional business relationships. This is traditional networking on steroids. Think about it. What better way to network than to partner up or team up with potential employers, clients or business partners part time on-line toward carrying out a business development project? You build the necessary relationships, you learn from others (the essence of interactive learning), you expand your professional skill sets and, ultimately, you expand your resume.

All Collaborative Business Development and Interactive Learning activities feed the large scale mission and vision defined by the Income Reengineering Process. To conduct and carryout this process, IRBDN members interact and collaborate according to the general operational framework and business plan noted below.

"The Way We'll Work"
Time Magazine, May 25, 2009
"Ten years ago, Facebook didn't exist. Ten years before that, we didn't have the web. So, who knows what jobs will be born a decade from now?. Though unemployment is at a 25-year high, work will eventually return. But, it won't look the same. No one is going to pay you to show up. We will see more flexible, more freelance, more collaborative and far less secure work world. It will be run by a generation with new values"

As you can see, low cost, workplace flexibility and, most of all, paying for productivity (not how many hours you work or a pre-determined salary) are behind the trends. Given such trends, it's safe to say that, due to the application of technology applications and platforms, the mainstream workplace is slowly transitioning away from employee-based toward more independent contractor and independent consultant type work putting continuous downward pressure on wages and the standard of living for the average worker/consumer. With this in mind, the long term objective of IRBDN is to conduct and carryout the Income Reengineering Process toward insuring the average worker can use these new trends to earn more income, prosper and build wealth as opposed to being a victim of the trends

For example, during the industrial revolution, the standard of living for the average worker increased significantly as workers migrated from farms and small shops to earning a wage in factories. It was a historic transition. So, as with the industrial revolution, shouldn't there be a corresponding increase in the standard of living of the average worker? If so, where is it? So far, all we see is an expanding gap between rich and poor and a decrease in the aggregate standard of living for the average worker. So, why is the information revolution causing a decrease in the aggregate standard of living?

To put this in perspective. Even if we were not experiencing a decrease in the aggregate standard of living and just maintaining previous living standards (i.e. predictable raises, good job security, predictable cost of living adjustments), the information technology revolution will still be letting us down. We should be seeing a significant increase in aggregate standard of living of every consumer/worker across the board.

With this in mind, IRBDN is launching under the premise that this a higher standard of living can only come into fruition when information technology is deployed to completely transform the mainstream workplace (the primary earning vehicle for the masses) from an industrial age wage-based compensation infrastructure to more reflective of global information age realities. Global information age realities value the highest possible productivity at the lowest possible cost. In this environment, fixed cost such as hourly wages and salaries will always be a target for reduction putting continuous downward pressure on this form of compensation. To adapt, grassroots workers/consumers need to shift away from hourly wages, salaries or paycheck to paycheck dependence into more of a worker owner and wealth focused reality. Income Reengineering Process serves as a transitional bridge to this new reality and IRBDN members will conduct and carryout this process.

IRBDN General Operations

Here's a general outline of IRBDN's general on-line operational environment:

Mass Collaboration Changes Everything
"The growing accessibility of information technologies puts the tools required to collaborate, create value, and compete at everybody's fingertips. This liberates people to participate in innovation and wealth creation within every sector of the economy. Millions of people already join forces in self-organized collaborations that produce dynamic new goods and services that rival those of the world's best-financed enterprises"

The Cyberspace Corporation
"With little need for start-up capital, cyberspace corporations will form quickly around an individual or group of individuals who have identified an opportunity and formulated a market plan. Additional cyberspace workers will quickly be gathered from previous endeavors and new talent will be recruited. Profit shares will be apportioned across participating members. The cyberspace corporation may provide a single product or service and then disband, or it may be formed with a longer-term vision and remain to serve the product's market. Other cyberspace firms may specialize in assuming ongoing maintenance of products if the developer decides to pursue other market opportunities"

Consider the following:

  • Think of a corporation that is 100% staffed with aspiring entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, independent consultants and small business owners working part time over the internet to collaboratively staff and run a corporation;

  • Formally, it's called a cyberspace corporation as defined above because there are no physical facilities, no traditional employees or corporate hierarchy. Because this corporation has no physical facilities or traditional employees, participating entrepreneurs, independent consultants and small business owners are often referred to as Virtual Employees and the positions they hold are often refer to as Virtual Staff Positions;

  • This cyberspace corporation runs according to a mutually beneficial business plan. Its' economic power is rooted in the power of mass collaboration. It markets products and services, it earns revenue and each participating virtual employee share in that revenue according to the value of their individual contribution to the operational business plan.
The mission objective of this cyberspace corporation is to conduct and carryout the Income Reengineering Process.

The IRBDN Business Plan

The IRBDN cyberspace corporate system operates according to a four (4) stage business plan:

  • Stage I: Early Growth and Development
  • Stage II: Building the Foundation
  • Stage III: Main Operations
  • Stage IV: Corporate Integration

This business plan enables IRBDN members to collaboratively launch and run the cyberspace corporation independent of the need for business or start-up capital beginning in Stage I. Then, over time, IRBDN members grow cyberspace corporate operations to include large scale, mutually beneficial alliances with companies and corporations in Stage III and Stage IV of operations. Stage III and IV represent the mainstay of operations where IRBDN serve as a restructuring and re-engineering test bed for companies and corporations. The Income Reengineering Process is at the foundation of this four (4) stage business plan.

The true beauty of this business plan is the fact that IRBDN members benefit from lucrative home based work online opportunities and professional career development benefits regardless of the stage of operation:

  • Stage I and II: Home based work online opportunities and professional career development benefits are internal to on-line cyberspace corporate operations where IRBDN members interact and collaborate on professional business projects. IRBDN members come from all walks of life and professional disciplines. As a consequence, members have a wide variety of business networking and career development options. • Stage III and IV: Stage III and IV represent the mainstay of operations where IRBDN serve as a restructuring and re-engineering test bed for companies and corporations. These stages will produce the primary home based income opportunties as well as professional career development options associated with IRBDN operations
Business plan documents are released stage by stage in consort with growth and expansion.
